Hoboken mayoral candidate Dini Ajmani's contribution to Hoboken: Big $$$ for Ravibots
Blasts City Council policies while contributing $500 to Emily Jabbour only last year!
Dini Ajmani, the self-funded mayoral candidate who parachuted over City Hall declaring her readiness to take over the job of chief executive has some explaining to do.
Ajmani who has built her campaign criticizing Hoboken's financial condition and pointing only to the City Council as culpable has quite a singular record in Hoboken.
It's not related to any financial or local issue but money lavishly contributed to the very people who have dominated Hoboken governance leading it into the ditch the past eight years.
In this exclusive Mile Square City report, public source documents reveal the mayoral candidate blasting the City Council for detrimental financial policies while making thousands of dollars in contributions to the Hoboken officials most responsible!
While ignoring the outgoing mayor Ravi Bhalla's critical role in spendthrift budgets and significant tax increases year over year, Ajmani contributed thousands of dollars to Bhalla and his most reliable council allies - for years - most recently in 2024.
According to NJ ELEC, the state watchdog on political contributions, Dini Ajmani contributed $500 as recently as last year to Councilwoman Emily Jabbour!
The contradictions don't end there.
Thousands of dollars to Ravi Bhalla from her and the family, even a student in the household who is apparently enthralled to contribute a hefty $2,600 to Hoboken's controversial mayor in 2021.
More Ravibot contributions when the damage to Hoboken took place year after year with high taxes, shady contracts, massive legal bills and needless, overpaid personnel expansion in the mayor's office.
Councilman Joe Quintero received a cool $500 in 2021.
The political contributions from Dini Ajmani total $3,000 to Ravi Bhalla and his team: $500 to the failed council candidate Rafi Cordova in 2023, $500 to Phil Cohen in 2022, $500 to the Bhalla council slate in late 2019 among others.
All told the Ajmani household has made political contributions totaling $12,300 in recent years, the vast majority to Ravi Bhalla and his loyal Ravibots.
One member of the household also threw in another $250 to Ravi Bhalla in 2025:
